In the 28 games since his return, he has batted .275/.333/.422, striking out 18 times but showing marked improvement at the plate. Scouts had felt confident in giving Langford plus offensive projections even before he took a pro at-bat, according to R.J. Anderson. Langford's recent performance is fulfilling those high expectations and providing a bright spot for the Rangers in an otherwise challenging season.
